This is a piezoresistive force sensor from Tekscan. The output of this sensor is resistive.
This output resistance is inversely proportional to the pressure applied on the sensor. The More pressure you apply the lower is the output resistance. The resistance changes from infinite to ~300K.
The sensor is thin and flexible but its resistance does not change when it is flexed. It changes only when pressure is applied to the round area end of the Flexi-force Pressure sensor.
This sensor can be used for detecting presence or as a weight sensor or pressure sensor for impact testing. The overall length is about 8.5". Sensor comes with 0.1" spaced, reinforced, breadboard friendly connector.
